Mothers Day 11th March- 2 courses £15 3 courses £20 we serve in 3 sittings 12.30pm, 3pm and 6pm

Starters

Roasted Parsnip Soup (v)

A roasted parsnip and pear soup with a hint of coriander finished with herb croutons and a warm bread roll

Chicken Liver Parfait

Chicken liver and brandy parfait served with toasted brioche and grape chutney

Prawn Cocktail

King prawns and crayfish topped with sherry Marie rose sauce served on mixed leaf salad with whole meal bloomer

Duo of Wedges (v)

Oregano breaded halloumi and mozzarella with dressed rocket and sweet tomato and chilli marmalade

 

Mains

Sirloin Steak

Coates butchers 8oz sirloin of beef char-grilled to your liking served with field mushroom, confit tomato, onion rings and pepper sauce

Rack of Lamb

Rack of lamb infused with rosemary with a sweet redcurrant, gooseberry and baby onion sauce

Smokey Chicken

Supreme of chicken in a chorizo and pink peppercorn sauce topped with smoked apple wood cheddar

Sea bass Fillet

Pan fried sea bass with a sun blushed tomato and chervil dressing served on braised fennel

Vegetable Brulee (v)

Butternut squash, sweet potato, wild mushroom and tarragon brulee finished with balsamic dressed endive

 

All main courses are served with dauphinoise potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Raspberry Cheesecake

Vanilla pod and fresh raspberry baked cheesecake served with Chantilly cream and fruit coulis

Chocolate Truffle Mousse

Rich Belgium chocolate praline truffle mousse finished with whipped cream and berry compote

Panacotta

A classic panacotta with a hint of brandy served with shortbread and fruit coulis

Bread and Butter Pudding

An individual baked bread and butter pudding infused with grand marnier smothered in crème anglaise

Shredded duck, vegetables and hoi sin wrapped in a pancake and fried served with a plum sauce

Mozzarella Wedges (V)

Creamy mozzarella breaded wedges with a sweet tomato and chilli and rocket

Mustard Mushrooms (V)

Sautéed mushrooms in a wholegrain mustard, white wine and cream sauce with herb ciabatta

Under the Sea (for two to share)

Thai fishcakes, scampi, filo king prawns and butterfly garlic and herb prawns served with soy dip, sweet chilli, tartar sauce and mixed leaf salad

Salmon Parcel

A flaky salmon steak, cream cheese and baby spinach in filo pastry and served with dill and lemon cream sauce

Sea Bream

Pan fried black sea bream on a creamy fennel, dill weed and prawn risotto

Roasted vegetables, Wild rice and Spinach Terrine (V)

Honey sweetened vegetables, brown and wild rice, hazelnut and crème fraiche terrine with a hint of port finished with french dressed rocket

Nut Roast (V)

A traditional almond, hazel nut, mushroom and herb roast served with our huge Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, parsnips, mashed potatoes, vegetables and rich vegetable gravy

Butternut Squash Lasagne (V)

Roasted butternut squash, wild mushroom and spinach lasagne with balsamic dressed endive

 

All main courses are served with either homemade chunky chips or dauphinoise potatoes and either vegetables or salad (excluding roasts & nut roast)

A classic vanilla crème brulee served with fresh fruit coulis and barringtons shortbread

A rich chocolate torte with a ganache topping and served with fruit compote and vanilla pod ice cream

Individual chocolate pudding with a runny chocolate centre served with fresh fruit coulis and vanilla ice cream
